Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration authorities apprehended three passengers for allegedly attempting to travel abroad using fake documents.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrests led to the disclosure of important information regarding a human smuggling network.
The accused were identified as:
- Zeeshan Haider
- Musa Khan
- Farhan Umar,
of Kurram, Bajaur and Narowal, respectively.
Officials said the three passengers arrived in Multan on UAE flight No G9558.
During the immigration clearance process, officials found no travel record for them in the system.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had previously left the country using forged documents. The passengers informed FIA officials that an agent had sent them to Iraq on the pretext of providing them with employment abroad.
Further investigations were underway to identify other individuals linked to the human smuggling network, the FIA spokesperson said.
