Two Dead After Car Hits Group of Pedestrians in Doncaster

A man has been arrested after two pedestrians were killed when a car crashed into a group of people in Doncaster. South Yorkshire Police said officers responded to reports of a black Mitsubishi L200 hitting four pedestrians on White Rose Way, between Carriage Drive and Middle Bank Roundabout, at 11:00 BST on Sunday.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police are working to identify the two pedestrians who died at the scene before notifying their next of kin. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police.
