TOKYO, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 25th Sep, 2026) The UAE dressage team has successfully completed its preparations for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. All four horses have passed the veterinary inspection and participated in an arena familiarisation session in Tokyo.
The UAE riders are:
- Ali Khalfan Al Jahouri with Lotus-S
- Mohamed Jassim Al Serkal with Zen Liquidity
- Bianca Schütz with Le Grand Ayden HB
- Natalie Lankester with Tesla DXB
After a ten-day quarantine in Aachen, Germany, the horses have been acclimatising to their new surroundings. Today's session allowed riders to work their horses in the main competition arena ahead of the opening tests.
The UAE will compete in the team and individual events alongside eight other nations. They are scheduled to be fifth in the team starting order. The team classification will be determined by the combined scores of the three highest-scoring combinations from each nation, with medals awarded after the day's competition.
The second Individual Qualifier will take place on Saturday, followed by the Individual Final on Sunday.
This marks the UAE's return to Asian Games dressage competition following their debut in Hangzhou in 2023, where they finished sixth.
