She claimed the propaganda was completely baseless.
In a statement accompanying the video, Uzma Bukhari said:
"Witness another drama,"
alleging that Sohail Afridi himself went and sat in the police van while police personnel were asking him to get out. She further stated that he moved his guards back to prevent them from being recorded in the video.
The provincial
information minister
said Sohail Afridi’s conduct was “staged and cheap acting” and claimed he was treated with respect, despite not deserving it.
She alleged that vehicles were being stopped at various locations causing problems for the public while addresses were being made to YouTubers and guards.
Sohail Afridi’s response to the video and Uzma Bukhari’s allegations was unavailable immediately.
It’s worth noting that earlier reports had emerged suggesting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister
Sohail Afridi
had sat in a police vehicle himself to secure the release of his workers. Sohail Afridi had reportedly told police he would not get out until his workers were released.
