Places for protests are given to those who have remained peaceful, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government resources are not meant for protest politics, said Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar.
He further stated that talks should happen only when it is known whom to speak to within PTI.
Speaking to the media, Tarar expressed his confusion regarding PTI's justification for coming to Islamabad, questioning their intentions given perceived preparations for violence. He highlighted that resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belong to the people and should not be misused for political protests.
Tarar emphasized the importance of peaceful conduct, citing Jamaat-e-Islami as a positive example. He also reiterated the government's commitment to preventing PTI from disrupting peace in Islamabad, warning them against further attempts.
Regarding recent arrests, Tarar stated that the sisters of Imran Khan were apprehended based on confirmed information regarding potential disturbances. He criticized the internal dynamics within PTI, claiming a lack of clear leadership and authority, making negotiations futile.
