Wildlife Deptt Allows Russian Pigeon Hunting From Sept 1 to October 31
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 19, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department has allowed hunting of Russian pigeons on three days in a week from September 1 to October 31.
Hunting Guidelines:
- Hunting is permitted only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- A Small Game Shooting License is mandatory for hunters.
- Hunters can catch a maximum of eight Russian pigeons per day.
- A compensation of Rs 5,000 per pigeon will be charged for exceeding the limit.
Other Regulations:
- Hunting before sunrise or after sunset is prohibited.
- Action will be taken against those hunting without a license on unauthorized days.
- The Wildlife Department will closely monitor the Russian pigeon population and suspend hunting if a significant decline is observed.
