Accountants Plant Saplings ICMAP Lawns For Greener Environment

A special tree plantation ceremony was organized at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) in Multan as part of an ongoing campaign on Wednesday.
Joint Director ICMAP Multan, Samina Khan Kiani, staff members, and students enthusiastically participated in the drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Kiani emphasized that trees are a precious gift from nature, playing a crucial role in:
- Keeping the environment clean
- Reducing pollution
- Protecting human health
She urged people to recognize the importance of planting trees and contribute to making Pakistan greener by planting as many saplings as possible. She highlighted the pressing issues of environmental pollution and climate change, underscoring the need to increase tree numbers while ensuring their proper protection and care.
Kiani noted that youth, as the future of the country, can play a significant role in promoting environmental awareness through active participation in plantation campaigns. Planting trees in educational institutions not only makes surroundings greener but also fosters environment-friendly attitudes in society.
While acknowledging that planting a sapling is a positive step, Kiani stressed that proper care and nurturing are equally important. She emphasized that with adequate care, a sapling can grow into a robust tree, providing shade, clean air, and a healthier environment for future generations.
ICMAP Multan Admin Officer Umar Awan, Ms. Fozia, Ms. Abeera, and other teachers also joined the campaign by planting saplings.
