Agriculture Department Seizes Illegal Pesticides in Pasrur
The Agriculture Department has seized expired and banned agricultural pesticides during a raid in Pasrur tehsil and registered a case against a shopkeeper. This action was initiated by Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, Director Agriculture (Plant Protection), Pest Warning, and Quality Control of Pesticides at Khoi Stop.
According to the department, a range of expired pesticides along with chemicals banned for use on paddy crops were recovered from a local shop. A case has been registered against the shopkeeper at Baddiana Police Station, and further legal proceedings have been handed over to the police.
Dr. Maqsood Ahmed emphasized that such actions will continue to combat the sale of expired and banned pesticides, thereby protecting farmers and ensuring the availability of quality and approved agricultural medicines.
