AJK PM Awards IRD Officers For Record Revenue Performance, Professional Excellence
Mirpur (AJK), (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news – 17th Aug, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore crowned senior officers and officials of the AJK Inland Revenue Department with awards in acknowledgement of their outstanding professional performance, record revenue collection, and contribution towards institutional reforms and digital transformation during the financial year 2025-26.
The prestigious ceremony was held at the Prime Minister House in the state metropolis on Pakistan Independence Day where distinguished officers of the Inland Revenue Department were presented with Certificates of Appreciation, Cash Awards, and Professional Excellence Awards in recognition of their exceptional performance and valuable contribution towards strengthening the revenue administration of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Among those honoured was Syed Anser Ali, Commissioner Inland Revenue, South Zone, whose leadership and professional contribution towards achieving the assigned revenue targets and improving the overall efficiency of the department, especially digitally initiatives like AJK POS System, were particularly appreciated.
Other senior officers including Mr. Basil Siddique, Commissioner Inland Revenue, North Zone, Dr. Shazia Habib, Secretary CBR, Circle Incharge Officers, and other senior departmental officers, were also recognized for their outstanding services and contribution to the department’s revenue performance. The awards were primarily in recognition of the record revenue collection achieved during Financial Year 2025-26, when the Inland Revenue Department faced a number of challenging and difficult circumstances.
An IRD AJK spokesperson told APP here on Monday: "The Prime Minister appreciated the collective efforts of the Inland Revenue Department and acknowledged that the achievement of the revenue targets under difficult circumstances reflected the professional commitment, dedication, and effective leadership of the departmental officers and staff."
The department has made significant progress in introducing and improving technology-driven systems aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and facilitation for taxpayers.
