Ashrafi Calls Protection Of Haramain Sharifain A Shared Responsibility Of The Muslim Ummah
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Sep, 2026) Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council and Secretary General of the International Tazeem-e-Harmain Sharifain Council, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Tuesday said the sanctity and security of the Haramain Sharifain are a collective responsibility of the Muslim Ummah, stressing that any threat to islam’s holy sites is unacceptable under any circumstances.
He also called for a unified response to ensure their protection and security, said a press release issued here.
Ashrafi also proposed to call the immediate emergency summits of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to discuss the prevailing security situation and formulate a unified strategy for safeguarding the Haramain Sharifain.
