Balochistan CM Orders Probe, Protection for Woman Alleging Violence and Forced Marriage

Provincial Adviser for Women Development Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi stated that Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken notice of a case involving Asma, a woman from Qambrani Road, who alleged violence, forced marriage, and attempts to abduct her.
The chief minister has directed the relevant authorities to ensure the woman’s protection and conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the allegations, according to Dr Rubaba.
She emphasized that the facts would be established through due legal process and that action would be taken against anyone found responsible, without discrimination.
Dr Rubaba condemned violence against women, forced marriages, abductions, and other forms of abuse, stating that the provincial government prioritizes the protection of women’s lives, dignity, and fundamental rights.
She assured that the woman would receive legal assistance, protection, and support from relevant state institutions. Furthermore, she declared that negligence would not be tolerated and that the case would be monitored until the legal process is completed.
Dr Rubaba reiterated the chief minister’s stance that injustice against citizens would not be permitted and encouraged victims of violence to report their cases, assuring them of government support.
