Commissioner Attends Closing Ceremony Of Under-14 Sports Gala
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday attended the closing ceremony of the Under-14 Sports Gala as chief guest at the Sports Gymnasium Sargodha.
The Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum and District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor warmly received the commissioner upon his arrival.
During the ceremony, young athletes presented impressive performances in gymnastics, taekwondo and martial arts, showcasing their skills and talent. The performances were appreciated by the audience.
Congratulating the athletes who demonstrated outstanding performances, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said sports played an important role in the physical and mental development of young people and helped promote self-confidence, discipline, and positive activities.
He urged young people to actively participate in sports so that their abilities could be developed while contributing to the creation of a healthy society.
The commissioner said the Punjab government was taking effective measures, in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, to provide young people with better sporting opportunities and modern facilities.
He said competitions such as the Under-14 Sports Gala would help identify and encourage young talent and provide them with opportunities to showcase their abilities at provincial and national levels.
Hafiz Shaukat Ali stated that young people were a valuable asset and the future of the country, adding that it was the collective responsibility of society to encourage them towards healthy and positive activities.
He appreciated the organizers, coaches, and participating athletes for successfully holding the sports gala and expressed his best wishes for the young athletes’ bright future.
