Commissioner Inspects SIMS Hospital, Reviews Healthcare Facilities
SANGHAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Ghulam Qadir Khan Talpur, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sara Javed, paid a surprise visit to SIMS Hospital and the Sindh Institute for Child Health in Shahdadpur and reviewed healthcare facilities being provided to patients.
Visit Details:
- The commissioner inspected the emergency department, outpatient Department (OPD), wards, and other sections of the hospitals.
- He sought feedback from patients and their attendants about the quality of treatment and available facilities.
- He also reviewed cleanliness, availability of medicines, and the performance of medical staff.
Directives:
- Talpur directed the hospital administration to ensure quality healthcare, adequate supplies of essential medicines, and proper cleanliness.
- He ordered that the CT scan machine be made functional at the earliest.
Briefings:
- Director SIMS Hospital, Bashir Ahmed Jamali and Child Health Unit Operations Manager Khadija Malik briefed the commissioner on the services and facilities available.
- He expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements, appreciated the staff, and urged them to perform their duties with dedication.
- He stated that all available resources should be utilised effectively to further improve healthcare facilities for the public.
Additional Activities:
- Later, the commissioner held a meeting with revenue officials at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office in Shahdadpur and reviewed administrative matters.
- He also visited different parts of the city, including the Sarhari-Shahdadpur Road.
