Commissioner Takes Notice Of Non-availability Of Power In Jam Ghulam Qadir Teaching Hospital Hub

Commissioner Lasbela Division Saira Atta on Wednesday took notice of the non-availability of electricity during operations in Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub’s operation theater.
She directed the Deputy Commissioner to write a letter to higher authorities against the General Manager (GM) of K-Electric Management for ensuring power supply to the hospital.
Visiting the 50-bed Jam Ghulam Qadir Teaching Hospital Hub, the commissioner stated that nothing is more valuable than human life. She criticized K-Electric officials for their failure to remove minor daily faults, considering it a serious issue in the hub.
"Despite significant revenue recovery from industrial zones, K-Electric management’s behavior is unacceptable," she said, noting that over 400 operations are performed monthly at the hospital. “The lack of interest by the technical team in removing faults is irresponsible."
She added that dialysis units, incubators, and normal operations are affected due to power cuts.
MS Ham Ghulam Qadir Hospital briefed the commissioner about the hospital’s functions and other issues.
Assuring measures to address the hospital’s problems for providing quality healthcare facilities, the commissioner emphasized no compromise on health quality. She directed concerned doctors and staff to improve treatment facilities further.
