C&W Minister Reviews Axle Load Management and Overloading Control Mechanism

Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth has directed that a summary be sent to the Law Department for amendments to the Rules of business and the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965, to strengthen the axle load management system.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting on the Axle Load Management System here on Wednesday, which reviewed the Rules of Business relating to axle load management and the mechanism for controlling overloading under the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965.
C&W Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar, Special Secretary, and other officers briefed the minister on the existing axle load management system and the mechanism for regulating overloading.
The minister also directed that a policy be formulated regarding the amount of fines imposed for overloading.
