DC Directs Immediate Restoration Of Roads Affected By KPCIP Works

Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram, chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review the progress on ongoing development projects under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP) in Abbottabad and Galiyat.

The Project Director KPCIP briefed the meeting on key projects in Abbottabad, including completion of water distribution lines, expansion of the Chonga Water Plant, beautification works, and pedestrianization of the Old Market.

The Deputy Commissioner directed authorities to immediately restore roads affected by construction work after the completion of water distribution lines. He also ordered timely repair of potholes and uneven road surfaces to minimize inconvenience to citizens.

The meeting discussed land acquisition issues related to the KPCIP project in Dhamtour. Additional Deputy Commissioner General and Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad were directed to take necessary measures and resolve these issues at the earliest.

Regarding Galiyat, the Deputy Commissioner directed concerned authorities to immediately restore roads damaged during pipeline installation and ensure prompt repair of potholes and uneven surfaces.

He emphasized that timely completion of development projects must go hand in hand with immediate resolution of public grievances and restoration of affected public facilities.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning, Project Director KPCIP, and other members of the project team.
