DC Orders Strict Monitoring of Government Schools and Timely Resolution of Issues
Abbottabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram has instructed the Education Department and relevant authorities to prioritize several key aspects in government schools across the district.
These include:
- Ensuring full attendance of teachers and administrative staff.
- Uninterrupted provision of clean drinking water and basic facilities.
- Promptly repairing school infrastructure.
He issued these directives during a meeting of the District Steering Committee for Education, which reviewed:
- The quality of education.
- Teacher and student attendance records.
- Cleanliness and availability of basic facilities in schools.
- Infrastructure and overall school conditions.
- Problems faced by government schools.
- Implementation of previous decisions made at a steering committee meeting.
The District Monitoring Officer from the Education Monitoring Authority presented a report on progress regarding the implementation of previous decisions, as well as the overall performance of the Education Department in areas like:
- School monitoring.
- Attendance tracking.
- Infrastructure development.
- Facility provision.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the government’s commitment to providing students with quality education that meets modern requirements. He highlighted the need for:
- Promoting modern teaching methods.
- Enhancing student learning environments and facilities.
Mr. Akram also directed the Education Department and Monitoring Authority to ensure:
- Consistent monitoring of all government schools.
- Teacher attendance records.
- Adherence to educational standards.
- Timely execution of decisions made by the District Steering Committee.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Azka Fatima, District Education Officers (Male and Female), representatives from the Education Foundation, Communications and Works Department, SDEOs, and other relevant officials attended this meeting.
