PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026)
Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has urged the youth to shape their lives according to the teachings of Seerat-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), emphasizing that education, skills, and positive thinking are crucial for building responsible citizens and ensuring a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
Addressing the National Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference as the chief guest at the Governor House, Kundi stated that the practical implementation of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings is essential in today’s times. Prominent religious scholars and spiritual leaders from across the country attended the conference.
Upon welcoming the participants, Kundi expressed his honor in hosting the national conference at the Governor House. He asserted that Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) serves as a comprehensive life code for all humanity, not limited to a specific day or event.
The governor highlighted the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) exemplary character, marked by compassion, justice, equality, tolerance, and truthfulness, which united diverse communities and transformed society into a strong, cohesive unit.
Kundi acknowledged the significant sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism, with members from various sectors—including armed forces, police, tribal elders, religious scholars, students, and women—losing their lives for peace. He called upon religious scholars to actively engage in character building among the younger generation and propagate the message of peace, tolerance, brotherhood, justice, and humanity inspired by the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Emphasizing the need for collective action against sectarianism, hatred, prejudice, and extremism, Kundi stressed that safeguarding minorities, their lives, property, and places of worship is a shared national responsibility. He reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a province of peace, education, development, and prosperity through collaborative efforts.
Additionally, the governor expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s Makkah Defence Agreement, terming it an honor for Pakistan and highlighting Turkey’s inclusion as a significant milestone. He credited Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir with effectively implementing the agreement.
Kundi also paid tribute to the contributions of Pakistan Peoples Party leaders to national defense, citing Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s pivotal role in convening the first Islamic Summit Conference and establishing Pakistan’s nuclear program. He noted that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto contributed to missile technology advancement, while President Asif Ali Zardari strengthened the country’s defense capabilities through the JF-17 Thunder program during his previous term.
