The pain and anger in the hearts of the Pakistani nation over the vile and unforgivable attempt to target the sacred land of Makkah cannot be expressed in words, said Shehbaz Sharif.
Government Condemns Drone Attack on Makkah
The Government of Pakistan has strongly condemned, in the strongest terms, the recent attempted drone attack on the holy site in Makkah and expressed complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he expressed that every Pakistani was deeply saddened, grieved, and distressed by the attempt to target Makkah, the holiest of lands. He further emphasized:

He paid tribute to the high professional capabilities, courage, and vigilance of the Saudi armed forces for foiling the attack through an emergency response. Shehbaz Sharif noted that the Royal Saudi Armed Forces acted with courage and speed to stop the operation and defend the holy site, which was a matter of pride and highly commendable.
He appealed to all relevant parties to exercise utmost restraint and immediately step back to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region, which had already suffered heavy losses due to prolonged conflicts and wars.
Shehbaz Sharif strongly emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy were the only sustainable means of establishing lasting peace. He affirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for Saudi Arabia at all times to defend its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He further stated that the protection and safeguarding of the Two Holy Mosques was not merely a political or diplomatic priority but a fundamental part of every Pakistani’s faith and a sacred duty held very close to the heart of every citizen.
