Federal Cabinet Approves National Adolescent & Youth Policy Aimed to Empower Youth
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) The Federal Cabinet on Thursday approved in principle the National Adolescent and Youth Policy, which Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif termed a significant step toward empowering the country’s youth.

- It rests on four core pillars: education, employment, inclusion, and environment.
- Implementation involves establishing the Pakistan Youth Development Council and the Federal Adolescent and Youth Agency.
- Developed after 32,145 surveys nationwide, incorporating feedback from over 200,000 young people.

- Ratified decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCSOE) on July 9, 2026.
- Endorsed ECC decisions made on August 14, 2026.
- Approved decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases (CCLC) at meetings held from June 18 to August 18, 2026.
