Faisalabad (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026)

Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Chief Executive Officer Engr. Muhammad Aamer stated on Monday that a modern helpline 118 service operates 24/7 to ensure quick resolution of electricity consumers' complaints.

Engr. Aamer revealed that the enhanced Helpline 118 service incorporates several user-friendly features, such as language selection, SMS-based delivery of complaint ticket IDs and feedback messages after issue resolution. Complaints registered via the helpline are automatically forwarded to the relevant Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Telephone Attendant Clerk (TAC), and the Central Complaint Cell at FESCO Headquarters through an online portal, facilitating prompt action and efficient monitoring.

Consumers can use the helpline to report issues like:

  • Power outages
  • Low voltage
  • Overbilling
  • Defective meters
  • New connections
  • Technical faults
  • Electricity theft
  • Transmission line faults
  • Fire incidents involving electricity wires
  • Transformer failures

and other electricity-related concerns.

Engr. Aamer emphasized that the helpline has streamlined the process for consumers, eliminating the need to visit various offices, and providing a centralized system for complaint registration, tracking, and timely resolution. He further noted that the system allows transparent and organized monitoring of complaints to enhance service delivery.

In addition, consumers can register complaints via SMS by sending a message to 8118.

Customer Facilitation Centers have been established at all sub-divisions across FESCO's eight districts, where systems for handling technical and commercial complaints are fully operational. Modern computers, laptops, and mobile devices have been supplied to staff at these centers to better serve consumers and provide them with timely updates on the status of their complaints.

Engr. Aamer encouraged consumers to utilize the Helpline 118 for any electricity-related issues and ensure prompt redressal. He also directed all FESCO Operation Circles to promote the Helpline 118 service within their respective areas to maximize consumer access and minimize delays in complaint resolution.
