Foolproof Arrangements Finalized for MDCAT 2026; 38,842 Candidates To Appear
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 15, 2026) | A high-level meeting was held at Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, to review arrangements for the transparent, secure and peaceful conduct of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Khaliq ur Rehman and KMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli.
The meeting detailed arrangements for:
- Examination centers
- Security
- Traffic management
- Candidate screening
- Medical facilities
All necessary measures were finalized for the smooth conduct of the examination.
MDCAT 2026 will be conducted simultaneously in 60 air-conditioned halls across Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Lower Dir, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Mansehra, Haripur and Abbottabad, with 38,842 candidates expected to appear.
A medical camp and ambulance service will be available at every examination center for immediate emergency assistance.
Candidates are permitted to enter with empty pockets but will undergo strict security screening upon entry.
Prohibited items include:
- Mobile phones
- Watches
- Smartwatches
- Earphones
- Bluetooth devices
- Purses
- Bags
- Jewellery
- Other unnecessary items
Candidates are advised to arrive early and bring their roll number slip and required identification document.
Authorities emphasized that transparency, merit, discipline, and security will not be compromised under any circumstances.
