Foolproof Arrangements For Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) In Sukkur Division; Decision To Celebrate With Religious Harmony

SUKKUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) It has been decided to celebrate Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal in Sukkur Division with foolproof arrangements, religious harmony, tolerance, unity among Muslims, peace, brotherhood, and solidarity.

An important meeting regarding this matter was held in the Conference Hall of the Commissioner Office, Sukkur, presided over by Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi. The meeting was attended by a large number of participants, including:

  • Nasir Aftab, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur
  • Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendent of Polices of Ghotki, Khairpur, and Sukkur
  • Senior officers of relevant departments
  • Religious leaders
  • Office-bearers of organizations
  • Stakeholders and other officials and representatives

Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi, emphasized that Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him) was sent as Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen for all worlds. His teachings, principles, and Shariah injunctions are the essence of faith for all Muslims. He stated that foolproof arrangements would be made at both administrative and private levels to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) while ensuring security through law enforcement agencies.

He added that it is our collective duty on this occasion to celebrate Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with fervor, adhering to the Seerat, principles, and Shariah injunctions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and promoting interfaith harmony, brotherhood, unity, tolerance, peace, and social responsibility.

DIG Nasir Aftab highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and order during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations, especially in the global context. He mentioned that anti-state elements might attempt to sabotage the celebrations and expressed that extraordinary arrangements and contingency plans are in place to foil such conspiracies. Rangers and police will work together to ensure security.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP), and other relevant officers provided detailed briefings on their respective plans, contingency measures, schedules of programs, and arrangements, adhering to the policy and other important matters. Religious leaders and office-bearers of organizations also shared their insights.
