Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and adjoining areas from August 21 to August 23, prompting local authorities to deploy emergency field teams.
Following the weather forecast, the Murree District Administration issued an advisory for tourists and commuters heading toward the hill station. Travel authorities advised visitors to monitor weather updates via print, electronic, and social media channels prior to setting off and urged the general public to avoid unnecessary
travel during heavy downpours.
Field officers and operational staff from all relevant departments have been mobilized on the directions of DC Murree to monitor key road arteries, clear potential landslips, and manage tourist traffic throughout the rain spell.
