Gaggo Mandi Woman’s Murder Mystery Solved, Husband Emerges as Suspect

BUREWALA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) The mystery surrounding the killing of a woman during an alleged robbery on the Base Line Link Road in Gaggo Mandi was solved within three hours, with police declaring her husband, Adnan, the alleged killer.
According to police, Adnan, a resident of Hafizabad Colony, Gaggo Mandi, was travelling with his wife, Maryam Akram on the Base Line Link Road when they were allegedly intercepted. During an alleged confrontation, Maryam sustained a bullet injury to her head and died on the spot.
Upon receiving information about the incident, DPO Vehari Tassawar Iqbal reached the scene and ordered an investigation into the robbery and other possible aspects of the case.
Using modern technology and human intelligence, police traced the incident within three hours.
Police said investigation revealed evidence allegedly linking Adnan to the killing. According to police, the suspect took his wife along on the pretext of taking her to hospital because he allegedly wanted to marry another woman, and allegedly killed her. He later allegedly staged the incident as a robbery to mislead police.
A police team led by SDPO Rana Muhammad Imran Tipu traced the case and arrested the suspect. DPO Tassawar Iqbal appreciated the police team’s performance and announced that commendation certificates would be awarded to the officials involved in solving the case.
