Gold Price Per Tola Surges Significantly

LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) A historic increase in the prices of gold and silver has been recorded in the local exchange markets of the country. One tola of gold has increased by Rs 13,700, while the price of silver has gone up by Rs 369 per tola.

According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, 24 karat gold per tola reached a new high of Rs471,000.936, an increase of Rs 13,700. Similarly, 10 grams of 24 karat gold became even more expensive, reaching Rs404,609 with a surge of Rs 11,746.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold climbed to Rs370,905, an increase of Rs 10,768.

A significant jump was also observed in the local markets for silver, where 24 karat silver increased by Rs 369 to Rs 7,169 per tola. The price of 10 grams of silver also rose by Rs 317 to Rs6,146.

In the international market, gold prices surged dramatically, with gold rising by $137 to $4,495 per ounce, while silver prices increased by $3.69 to $66.90 per ounce.
