IGP Orders Immediate Resolution Of Police Employees' Problems

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Wednesday met police employees and their family members at the Central Police Office and issued immediate directions to concerned officers for resolving their problems.

According to a Punjab Police handout, the IGP listened to the issues raised by police personnel and their families and directed the relevant officers to provide relief in accordance with the rules.

Here are some of the specific actions ordered:

  • Constable Muhammad Akram's son: Declaration of his father as a martyr.
  • Constables Mazhar Hussain, Inayat, Muhammad Rafiq, and Ali Kamran: Financial assistance for medical treatment.
  • Retired Sub-Inspector Irshad Ali: Cancellation of a case.
  • Sub-Inspector Faisal Ali: Promotion request (directed to DIG Special Protection Unit).
  • Lady Sub-Inspector Anum Saleem: Promotion request (directed to Additional IG Punjab).
  • Senior Traffic Warden Muhammad Nawaz: Recovery request.
  • Father of late Constable Samuel Masih: Payment of his son's outstanding dues.
  • Head Constable Shoukat Hayat: Transfer request (directed to DIG Establishment-II)
  • ASI Naveed Shahzad: Transfer request (directed to DIG Establishment-I).

The IGP also issued directions on other applications concerning discipline, administration, promotion and welfare of police employees and their families.
