Great British Bake Off Winner Georgina Grasso Reveals Bipolar Diagnosis
BBC News reports that Great British Bake Off winner Georgina Grasso has shared her bipolar disorder diagnosis with her followers on Instagram.
Grasso, from Carmarthenshire, previously spoke openly about her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) during her time on the show, becoming an advocate for the ADHD community. However, a recent diagnosis revealed she actually has bipolar 2 and autism instead, which came as a surprise to her.
In her Instagram post, Grasso expressed her uncertainty about her identity post-diagnosis, stating, "I’m not sure who I am right now." She also mentioned feeling overwhelmed and worried about her ability to manage her workload due to the condition.
Grasso has started new medication in the hopes of achieving stability while continuing her content creation and supporting her family. She encourages anyone with bipolar disorder to share their experiences and offers thanks for the support she’s received from her followers.
