Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has made a significant statement regarding Imran Khan’s imprisonment and potential release. In a video posted on X, Marwat suggests that if 400,000 people take to the streets during the September 27 march, it could expedite Khan’s release.

According to Marwat, Khan’s prolonged imprisonment under challenging conditions—including solitary confinement, health issues, media restriction, and limited access to information—makes it unfair to expect him to have a comprehensive understanding of all matters.

He highlights the complexity of the current situation, where a social media campaign labels PTI leadership and workers as traitors, leading to natural doubts and suspicions. Marwat believes that once released, Khan will quickly assess the situations and determine who stood by him during difficult times and who betrayed his cause.

Meanwhile, rally activities organized by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in Lahore continue to gain momentum. Afridi expressed his determination to lead another street movement at 5 p.m. on the same day, emphasizing that the people of Lahore have shown their support spontaneously, despite no official calls being made. He criticized the Punjab government and police for their actions, including blocking routes, turning off lights, closing petrol stations, and arresting arriving workers.
