KP Excise Seizes Massive Cache of Ice, Heroin Across Province
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Sep, 2026) The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has achieved significant successes during its ongoing province-wide crackdown against narcotics, particularly ice and heroin.
During various successful operations conducted by the Excise Police and Intelligence Bureau, a large quantity of hashish and ice was recovered, while several accused persons were arrested. Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals at relevant police stations and further investigations have been initiated.
Operations and Seizures:
- Excise Police Abbottabad: Conducted an operation on Havelian Road leading to the recovery of 1,420 grams of hashish concealed inside a vehicle's shaft. Arrested: Naqash Ahmad and Khawar Ali.
- Excise Police Mardan: Recovered 2,400 grams of hashish from a vehicle on Charsadda Road. Arrested: Fawad Khan and Sehar Gul.
- Excise Police Abbottabad: Seized 1,050 grams of hashish from a motorcycle rider, Zubair, who was arrested.
- Excise Police Dera Ismail Khan: Recovered 2,000 grams of hashish from a passenger bus, arresting Shanullah.
- Excise Police Peshawar: Found 2,400 grams of hashish in a vehicle on the M-1 Motorway, arresting two individuals. Another operation led to the recovery of 100 grams of hashish from a local drug dealer.
- Excise Intelligence Bureau B-I Mobile Squad (Charsadda): Arrested an international narcotics smuggler attempting to smuggle ice concealed in capsules by swallowing them. Accused: Rafiullah, who was shifted to DHQ Hospital Charsadda for medical procedures, after which 66 ice-filled capsules weighing 462 grams were recovered.
- Excise Police Charsadda: Seized 634 grams of hashish concealed in slippers belonging to Kamran Khan.
The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has reiterated its commitment to continuing strict action against narcotics trafficking.
