KP Health Minister Orders Probe Into Nursing College Students’ Complaints

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Khaliqur Rehman on Tuesday ordered a comprehensive, transparent, and impartial inquiry into complaints raised by students of the Peshawar Nursing College.

He directed relevant authorities to establish all facts and take strict action under the law and relevant rules if any violation, negligence, mismanagement, or misconduct is found. Minister Rehman urged the students to remain peaceful and avoid taking the law into their own hands. He assured them that the authorities would examine their genuine grievances strictly on merit and in accordance with rules.

He stated that the government would fully protect the legitimate rights of nursing students and address any proven violation or injustice according to law. The health minister also directed concerned police officers to personally review the situation and engage all stakeholders to resolve the matter through dialogue, mutual understanding, and legal procedures.

Rehman emphasized that while citizens have the right to peaceful protests and voice legitimate demands, protesters must also respect the law, public order, and the rights of other citizens. He stressed that any protest should not disrupt law and order, government functions, or the daily lives of others.

He urged students, college administration, and all stakeholders to demonstrate patience and responsibility and cooperate with the authorities for a peaceful resolution. The minister affirmed that the government would not allow injustice against students but would also ensure the rule of law, discipline, public order, and protection of the academic environment.
