HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) The legal fraternity of Hyderabad cast their votes here on Thursday to elect office bearers and members of District Bar Association Hyderabad.
According to the Returning Officer, as many as 2,397 lawyers were registered to vote in the election for which 7 polling booths were set up in the District and Sessions Court.
Some 30 lawyers contested for the slots of office bearers and 22 for Members Managing Committee (MMC).
Advocates Abdul Malik Shaikh, Shahzeb Abbassi and Shakir Nawaz Shar landed in the electoral fray for the position of the President.
Likewise, the lawyers Ghulam Hussain Palari, Ghulam Murtaza Laghari, Ishfaque Ahmed Lanjar, Muhammad Aamir Qureshi, Muhammad Asif Arain, Muhammad Suleman Sarwari and Syed Muhammad Ahmed Rashif vied for Vice President.
