UrduPoint (21 August, 2026) – ISLAMABAD: Malaysian Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail along with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary, visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Headquarters in Islamabad on Friday. They were briefed about Pakistan’s digital identity system, technology-driven public services, and modernization efforts.

During the visit, NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Munir Afsar presented a detailed overview of the authority’s digital infrastructure, identity management framework, and initiatives to enhance service delivery for citizens. The presentation highlighted how technology streamlines registration processes, strengthens data management, and expands access to public services.

The Malaysian interior minister was informed about NADRA’s role in maintaining Pakistan’s national identity database and measures taken to provide faster, more efficient services nationwide. Officials also shared details of developed digital platforms for citizen accessibility.

Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail described the visit as a productive experience, praising NADRA’s digital transformation progress. He acknowledged the organization’s commitment to improving public service delivery through technology.

The Malaysian minister noted that NADRA’s efforts in digitizing processes and simplifying access to services demonstrate an effective governance approach. He also appreciated the focus on providing timely services via modern systems and technological solutions.

The delegation was then taken on a tour of various sections at NADRA Headquarters, where officials showcased operational units, service management systems, and digital facilities supporting registration and verification processes.
