Martyred Constable Paid Tribute On Death Anniversary

(FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026)) Police paid tribute to martyred Constable Abid Ali on his death anniversary by presenting a ceremonial salute at his grave and offering prayers for the departed soul.
According to a police spokesman, a contingent of Sandal Bar Police visited the grave of Constable Abid Ali, presented a guard of honour, and laid flower petals on the grave. Police officials also offered Fateha and prayed for the eternal peace of the martyr.
Constable Abid Ali had embraced martyrdom two years ago while confronting robbers in the jurisdiction of Thikriwala Police Station. He was performing his duty to protect citizens when he encountered criminal elements and laid down his life in the line of duty, the spokesman said.
City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain said police martyrs had made the ultimate sacrifice for the protection of citizens’ lives and property, adding that their services could never be forgotten.
He said the martyrs were a precious national asset and a source of pride for the police department. Their sacrifices would continue to inspire serving personnel to perform their duties with courage, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The CPO said the department was committed to supporting the families of police martyrs and addressing their welfare needs on a priority basis. All available resources were being utilized to resolve the issues faced by the families and children of martyrs, he added.
