Over 30 Leading Organisations Set Up Stalls at AIOU Job Fair 2026
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) successfully organized "Job Fair 2026" at the university main campus, on Thursday, where more than 30 leading organizations from the public and private sectors, including banking, IT, telecom, education, health, agriculture and industry, set up stalls at the fair.
According to the university, these organizations provided participants with information on employment, internships, graduate trainee programs, and career counseling. A large number of students and graduates of Allama Iqbal Open University participated in the event. Over 360 participants submitted their CVs, while representatives of several organizations conducted on-the-spot interviews and offered jobs to candidates.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood inaugurated the fair. After the inauguration, he visited various stalls of participating organizations and interacted with students to encourage them.
Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood stated, "The university’s aim is to prepare students not only academically but also for practical life. Job fairs act as a bridge between industry and universities and provide young people with the best employment opportunities."
Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr Sher Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr Syed Muhammad Amir Shah, senior professors and principal officers also visited the fair. At the end, the university administration thanked all participating organizations, students and organizers.
