People Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Decorate Homes, Streets to Express Love for Holy Prophet (PBUH)

People across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the seven merged tribal districts, have been actively preparing to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) with fervor and devotion. With only five days left until the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), streets, homes, shops, markets, bazaars, and vehicles are adorned with colorful buntings, green flags, fancy lights, and illuminated displays.

From the mountainous regions of Chitral and Kohistan to southern districts like Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan, this widespread celebration reflects deep religious sentiments and love for the Prophet (PBUH), whose life and teachings offer timeless guidance.

In Peshawar and other major cities, residents are decorating their homes and neighborhoods with enthusiasm. Traders and shopkeepers have transformed their business centers into green havens, draped in flags, banners, and colorful lighting. Vehicles are also being decorated to mark the occasion, displaying messages of peace, unity, and devotion.

"I’ve completed the decoration of my house with colorful buntings and fancy green lights to celebrate the Prophet’s (SAWW) birthday in a befitting manner," shared Professor Sumbul Amin, a Peshawar resident. "The arrival of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was a great blessing for humanity, and it is our collective duty to celebrate this day with religious fervor."

Religious scholars emphasize that while decorations and ceremonies are important, the celebrations should also serve as a reminder to understand and implement the teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Chief Khateeb Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, noted that the Prophet’s (PBUH) life and Seerah provide guidance for humanity. He explained that Eid Milad-un-Nabi is a significant opportunity to reflect on the divine message and mission of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), whose teachings promote peace, brotherhood, compassion, justice, and prosperity.

Maulana Tayyab Qureshi encouraged people to embrace the true spirit of celebration by following the noble character and teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) in their daily lives. He recalled the social and moral conditions in Arabia before Islam, highlighting widespread injustice, tribal conflicts, slavery, exploitation, and discrimination. The advent of Islam brought about transformative changes, addressing these issues and establishing a just society.
