Petroleum Crisis: Govt Considers Smart Lockdown as PM Chairs Key Meeting

The government is contemplating a smart lockdown to tackle the rising petroleum product prices, a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reviewed various proposals.
According to sources, the federal government is considering the following measures:
- Four working days for public and private offices, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as holidays.
- Reduced transportation through a rotational work formula for government employees, a three-day market closure, and shorter working hours.
A final decision on the smart lockdown is expected later this evening.
