PML-N Struggling For Strengthening Of Democracy In Country: Karim
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is struggling for the strengthening of democracy in the country, the supremacy of parliament, and the rule of the constitution, according to Chaudhry Naeem Karim, the Focal Person for Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP).
Karim made these remarks on the occasion of World Democracy Day, emphasizing the importance of respect for differences of opinion and political dialogue in a democratic system. He believes that the primary goal of democracy is to empower people and resolve their issues through constitutional means.
The senior PML-N leader highlighted that:
"Democracy is the name of respect for the opinion of the people, fundamental rights, and equal opportunities."
He further stated that the strength of a democratic society lies in the participation and trust of its citizens. Respect for the constitution, law, and institutions is crucial for a robust democratic society.
Karim encouraged political parties to set aside personal differences and contribute to the country’s development and the strength of its democratic institutions. He also called for supporting the government in its efforts to solve the people’s problems and ensure the prosperity of Pakistan.
