PML-N to Continue Development Agenda in AJK, Says Shezra Mansab Ali
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Minister of State for Climate Change Dr. Shezra Mansab Ali said on Monday that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had extended their full support to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in recognition of its performance-based policies.
Speaking during a news channel programme, she stated that upon forming the government in AJK, the PML-N would continue its development-oriented agenda to promote the region’s uplift and prosperity. She emphasized that the PML-N believes in development, public welfare, and enhancing the living standards of the people. The party, she added, has consistently worked for progress and prosperity across the country.
Regarding the politics of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Dr. Shezra Mansab Ali accused the party of promoting a politics of agitation and losing popularity by creating unrest in the country.
In response to a question about the establishment of new administrative units, she suggested that political parties, opposition groups, and coalition partners should utilize the platform of Parliament to debate and discuss national affairs. She believed that the creation of new provinces could improve governance and strengthen the federation.
