PRA Chairman Meets Travel Agents Association to Discuss Taxation Issues

Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra held a meeting with representatives of the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan on Wednesday to discuss matters related to Punjab Sales Tax on Services affecting travel agents and tour operators.

The delegation shared concerns about tax registration, return filing, and other taxation issues. The PRA Chairman emphasized the importance of collaboration between businesses and the tax authority for a more efficient and user-friendly tax system. He promised full support in resolving genuine business community challenges.

He highlighted plans for digital and online systems and awareness sessions to aid taxpayers in understanding tax compliance. Participants agreed on the necessity of promoting tax compliance, ethical business practices, and precise tax payments.

The meeting resulted in a commitment to form a joint committee between the PRA and the Travel Agents Association to ensure ongoing coordination and awareness regarding taxation matters.

The PRA Chairman reiterated the Authority’s top priority is facilitating taxpayers, aligning with Punjab Chief Minister’s vision of strengthening taxpayer trust in the system.
