President’s Visit to Germany: A Significant Milestone in UAE-German Relations

UAE Ambassador to Germany, Ahmed Al Attar, stated that the state visit of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany represents a significant milestone in UAE-German relations, opening up broad opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Since 1972, the UAE and Germany have steadily built a partnership, growing stronger each year. The signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2004 marked an important milestone, establishing a broader framework for cooperation. Subsequent steps further reinforced bilateral ties.

Bilateral economic relations are robust, with non-oil trade reaching US$15.56 billion in 2025, a 14.6% growth from 2024. Both countries focus on sectors shaping the future economy, including artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, clean energy, hydrogen, advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and logistics.

Al Attar highlighted Germany's leading industrial and technical expertise and the UAE's advanced investment ecosystem and infrastructure, offering a strategic location connecting Asia, Europe, and Africa. This integration presents opportunities for investments and innovative projects, benefiting startups, entrepreneurs, and young talent.

The visit reflects a mutual commitment to develop the partnership, transforming opportunities into constructive projects. It aims to create new opportunities serving the interests of both countries and their peoples, paving the way for a more prosperous future.

In the energy sector, cooperation prospects expand across renewable energy, hydrogen, and climate technologies, supporting energy security and a sustainable future. This partnership focuses on future accomplishments, built on trust and integration, with a shared vision for prosperity.
