Punjab Govt Committed to Stronger Support for Cultural Activities, Artists, and Writers: Parliamentary Secretary
Punjab Government is taking practical measures to promote arts, literature, and culture, with increased support for artists and writers and expanded opportunities for cultural expression across the province. Shazia Rizwan, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture, Punjab, expressed these views during her visit to Faisalabad Arts Council.
During her inspection of various sections of the institution, she reviewed its ongoing initiatives for promoting performing and fine arts, cultural activities, and encouraging local artists. Accompanied by Divisional Director Arts Council Faisalabad, Muhammad Imran Raza, and other officers, she received a detailed briefing about the council’s performance, current cultural programs, welfare initiatives for artists, and future plans.
Shazia Rizwan praised the cultural and literary activities organized by Faisalabad Arts Council, emphasizing that encouragement of artists and writers and providing better platforms and opportunities remain government priorities. She acknowledged the crucial role arts councils play in promoting the cultural identity of the province and connecting young generations with their artistic heritage.
She assured all possible cooperation to make cultural activities more vibrant and effective across all divisions of Punjab, appreciating the efforts of officers and staff at Faisalabad Arts Council. She also stressed the need for further improving the quality and outreach of its cultural programs. Deputy General Secretary Malik Rizwan Afsar was present during this visit.
