Quetta Administration Reviews Security and Civic Arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal

Preparations for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal were reviewed in a high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, with Deputy Commissioner (West) Munir Ahmed Durani, officials from all relevant departments, representatives of Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat, scholars, and community leaders in attendance.

The meeting focused on:

  • Routes of processions and gatherings
  • Sanitation measures
  • Security arrangements
  • Electricity supply and illumination across the city

Detailed briefings were presented by:

  • Safa Quetta
  • Metropolitan Corporation Quetta (MCQ)
  • PDMA
  • QESCO
  • Sui Gas
  • Police
  • Frontier Corps
  • Health Department (DHO), among others.

Deputy Commissioner Badini directed:

  • Special sanitation arrangements along all procession routes
  • Uninterrupted electricity supply at venues of gatherings
  • Repair and installation of streetlights and illumination on major roads.

Security agencies were tasked with implementing a foolproof security plan for all programs, supported by coordinated traffic management, emergency response, medical facilities, and civic services.

Deputy Commissioner Badini stressed that no negligence would be tolerated in maintaining peace, cleanliness, security, and public amenities during the observance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, urging all departments to work in close coordination to fulfill their responsibilities.
