A regional Naat competition was organized by Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi at the Mahmood Nizami Auditorium in connection with the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Twelve students aged between 12 and 25, who had secured first positions at the local level from Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad, participated in the competition.
District Khateeb Rawalpindi and Chairman Central Peace Committee Rawalpindi, Mufti Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi, was the chief guest.
The spiritually uplifting gathering commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by internationally renowned Qari Buzurg Shah Al-Azhari, followed by a Naat presented by renowned Naat Khawan Asfand Yar Ali Khan Siddiqui in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Station Director Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi, Hamid Zahoor, thanked the distinguished guests, judges, participants, and their parents. He emphasized that the competition aimed not only to select a winner but also to promote love and respect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Islamic values among the younger generation.
Director Programmes Radio Pakistan, Musarrat Shah Rukh, noted the enthusiasm and devotion displayed by the participating boys and girls during their Naat recitals, reflecting their religious commitment and love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Chief Guest Mufti Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi highlighted the significance of praising and glorifying the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the present era. He congratulated Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi for organizing this spiritually uplifting gathering during Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The competition featured separate categories for boys and girls aged below 15 and between 15 and 25 years, with Dr. Abdul Hameed Madani, Professor Shahbaz Ali, and Sheikh Iftikhar Ali serving as judges.
Muhammad Talha Hashmi from Islamabad emerged as the winner in the boys’ category for participants below 15 years, while Sakina Batool from Skardu took first place in the girls’ category.
In the boys’ category for participants aged 15 to 25 years, Hamza Ashraf from Azad Jammu and Kashmir secured the top position, followed by Eman Zahra from Skardu in the girls’ category.
A large number of scholars, literary figures, religious personalities, students, and people from diverse backgrounds attended the event. The recitation of Naats filled the Mahmood Nizami Auditorium with a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The competition aimed to encourage younger generations towards Naat recitation and promote Islamic values, religious awareness, love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and feelings of respect among them.
