Punjab IGP Orders Comprehensive Security Measures for Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations

Meeting with Senior Police Officers
The IGP chaired a crucial meeting with senior police officers at the Regional Police Office Rawalpindi, where they discussed the crime situation, law and order, and overall security preparations for the upcoming Eid celebrations.
Key Directives:
- Enhanced Security: IGP Kareem emphasized paying close attention to securing procession routes, venues, and sensitive locations during Eid Milad-un-Nabi gatherings.
- Field Supervision: He instructed senior officers to personally oversee security arrangements and ensure comprehensive briefing of personnel on their responsibilities.
- Coordination with Religious Authorities: The IGP directed police to maintain effective collaboration with religious scholars, organizers, and district administrations during religious events.
- Addressing Escape Incidents: Taking a firm stand against accused persons escaping from custody, he ordered supervisory officers to monitor these matters closely.
- Strict Protocol Compliance: He stressed adhering to security protocols throughout the process of police custody, handover, and transportation of accused individuals.
Safe Punjab Vision:
In line with Punjab Chief Minister’s Safe Punjab vision, the IGP directed police to intensify effective patrolling, picketing, search operations, and intelligence-based actions to curb crime. He also ordered the strict arrest and investigation of serious crime suspects based on merit.
