Rs 42bn to be spent on 44-km Lodh-Multan Road Construction

LODHRAN, (APP – UrduPoint) – Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf chaired a meeting to review the proposed improvement and upgradation of the Lodhran–Multan road. Officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA) briefed the meeting on the proposed construction and development of the road.

The DC stated that the 44-kilometre Multan road would be built at a cost of Rs 42 billion. He assured that the district administration would offer full support for the implementation of this mega project. He further directed that beautification and plantation should also be incorporated into the road development plan.

Ashraf also called for consultations on improving Milad Chowk as part of the road construction project, emphasizing that planting should be given priority in planning. The meeting thoroughly discussed the project’s funding and other technical and administrative aspects.

Attending the meeting were:

  • Deputy Director Development Hafiz Muhammad Zafar
  • Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Umar Mukhtar
  • NHA officials Rana Nadeem, Imtiaz Ahmed, Bashir Afzal, and others.
