Sindh, Martin Dow Join Forces to Enhance Primary Healthcare in Baba Island

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Martin Dow and the Government of Sindh have forged a partnership to improve access to quality primary healthcare services for the residents of Baba Island, Keamari Town.

Under the agreement, the Health Department will delegate the management, operation, and maintenance of the DMC Dispensary at Baba Island to Martin Dow. The dispensary provides free primary healthcare to the local community, with a special focus on underserved populations.

This partnership highlights a shared commitment to expanding access to essential healthcare services and supporting the well-being of vulnerable communities. Martin Dow will leverage its healthcare expertise and operational prowess to strengthen the delivery of primary healthcare services in the area.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at the Sindh Secretariat by Javed Ghulam Muhammad, Group MD and CEO of Martin Dow Group, and Tahir Hussain Sangi, Secretary of the Health Department, Government of Sindh, in the presence of Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Minister for Health, Government of Sindh, along with senior leadership from Martin Dow.

Through our partnership with the Government of Sindh, we aim to contribute to the improvement of essential healthcare services for the people of Baba Island.
