Riyadh Air Launches Lahore Route With 3 Weekly Flights From Saudi Capital
Riyadh Air has launched a direct flight route between Riyadh and Lahore, offering three weekly flights. This marks the airline’s entry into Lahore and strengthens air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural flight landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday evening, greeted by a traditional water salute from the Fire and Rescue Services of the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA). A ribbon-cutting and cake-cutting ceremony followed, attended by the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy, along with airport officials and representatives from Riyadh Air.
This launch comes after Riyadh Air’s entry into Pakistan through Islamabad on August 14. The airline received a warm welcome during its first flight to Islamabad International Airport, also met with a water salute and attended by senior officials.
The Pakistan Airports Authority expressed its support for Riyadh Air’s operations in Pakistan, emphasizing the potential of the new route to strengthen air links between the two countries.
