Subsidised petrol available at 146 fuel stations; registered citizens can report violations on 9771

Subsidised Petrol Availability and Citizen Reporting in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Sep, 2026)

Subsidised petrol is being provided to registered citizens at all 146 fuel stations across the Federal capital under the Prime Minister’s relief scheme. The district administration is ensuring real-time monitoring to guarantee that eligible consumers receive the fuel at the reduced price.

The initiative covers all major areas of Islamabad, with arrangements made to streamline consumer access and ensure smooth implementation of the government’s package. Registration and information banners are prominently displayed at fuel stations to guide citizens about the process and eligibility requirements.

Citizens who haven't yet registered can complete the process at fuel stations within minutes, becoming immediately eligible for subsidised petrol. This system aims to make the relief accessible without requiring consumers to visit government offices or endure a lengthy registration process.

Monitoring teams are overseeing the distribution of discounted fuel in real time. Officials are closely watching fuel stations to ensure compliance with government instructions and prevent eligible consumers from being denied the subsidy.

The awareness and registration campaign has been extended across Islamabad’s administrative divisions, covering:

  • 17 fuel stations in the Secretariat Division
  • 10 in Shalimar
  • 12 in the Industrial Area Division
  • 11 in City Division
  • 23 in Nilore
  • 15 in Potohar
  • 27 in the Rural Division
  • 31 in the Saddar Division

The district administration has warned fuel stations against refusing subsidised petrol to registered citizens, threatening sealing of premises and other legal action for violators. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has urged registered consumers to report any refusals by calling 9771, enabling the administration to take immediate action on violations.

Officials emphasised public cooperation as essential for effective implementation of the relief programme, encouraging citizens to utilise the complaint mechanism whenever they encounter difficulties in obtaining subsidised fuel. Continued monitoring and public reporting are crucial to ensure that all eligible consumers benefit uninterruptedly from the Prime Minister’s relief package.
