Suthra Punjab MD Inspects Special Cleaning Operation Along Nullah Lai
Suthra Punjab Agency’s (MD) Rana Sajid Safdar visited a special cleanliness operation along Nullah Lai near Gawalmandi Bridge for the third consecutive day on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Accompanied by Manager Operations District Rawalpindi, Amir Younis Naik, and other operational staff, he reviewed sanitation arrangements, focusing on waste removal from the Nullah Lai banks.
During his inspection, Safdar emphasized the importance of strict adherence to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directives regarding sanitation and drainage preparation for the impending rain. He instructed sanitation workers to remain vigilant during rainfall, ensuring no garbage accumulation along Nullah Lai or city locations.
The MD ordered continuous desilting of drains to prevent rainwater flow obstructions. He also highlighted the need for special attention in low-lying areas and emphasized the presence of sanitation teams during rain. Safdar directed field teams to utilize resources effectively and perform duties with responsibility, alongside strict monitoring of operational activities.
